Before you give our team a call, we recommend that you do the following;

  • Make sure you have measured the space where you intend on placing the inflatable (please refer to Q1 on FAQ’s).
  • If you have an indoor venue booked it is advisable to check the ceiling height for fit.
  • For all outdoor bookings our inflatables must be able to be pegged into grass or fixed to secure (non movable) anchor points.
  • The inflatable must be no further than 50m away from an electric power point (otherwise a petrol generator will be required at an additional charge).
  • That the space being used is level (slight slopes are ok).
  • Ensure that the venue or house can allow easy access for delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How much space do I need for the castle?

This depends on the size of the castle you are hiring, but generally you will need a clear area of at least 3ft wider and higher and at least 8ft longer than the size of the castle you are hiring. The ground should be quite level and no sharp bushes or objects should be near enough to come into contact with the castle. Height is usually the main problem for indoor venues.

  1. What methods of payment do you accept?

Our preferred method of payment is by cash, however, we do have a facility for taking card payments.

  1. What about insurance?

We have public liability insurance which would cover accidents if they were our fault, such as equipment failure or failing to install the inflatable properly. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that there is adequate adult supervision of the inflatable and equipment and the supervision of people using it, at all times. We will provide you with a detailed set of written safety instruction on the day of hire. Alternatively, we can provide fully trained staff to supervise the equipment for you at an additional cost. You benefit from our full public liability insurance if our staff supervise the equipment for you.  Please contact us with details so that we can give you a quote for providing this service.

  1. Do I need to pay a booking deposit?

No. We take people at their word. All we ask is that if you need to cancel a booking then you do so with us as soon as possible. The exception to this is when the hire is outside of our normal delivery area.

  1. How do I book a Bouncy Castle?

We prefer it if bookings were made by phone on 01642 299639 or 07960067044. When we are busy the answer machine will pick up your call, make sure you leave your number clearly and we always return your call.

  1. Do I need to supply crashmats or extension leads?

We supply all the relevant hardware required to pitch the inflatable.

  1. Can the castles go on concrete or tarmac?

New Health and Safety guidelines recently introduced have made placing castle on hard surfaces such as tarmac, concrete, decking, patios and gravel etc much more troublesome in that the recommended weight guidelines for anchoring inflatables are so great that they become extremely difficult to transport. Therefore, as a company, we have decided to no longer accept a booking for hard surfaces unless there are fixed and secure anchor points at the site.

  1. Are there age limits for the bouncy castles?

Many of our castles are limited to certain age groups and have been categorised on the website accordingly. Our children’s castles are only suitable for children aged 14 and under. We have a wide range of inflatables for older children/teenagers and adults available.

  1. What happens on the day of hire?

We normally start deliveries  from 9.00am, however, during busy spring/summer periods we will start earlier. We don’t give specific times because we work on a round geographical basis {AM delivery between 9.00am – 12.00pm and PM delivery between 12PM – 2PM} . WE DO give precise times for indoor venues such as village halls, community centres, public events and school fetes etc.
We start our pick up’s anytime between 5PM and 9PM (summer season).
Exceptions are made for Adult Hire when booked for evening and overnight
We are reasonably flexible so just ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

  1. How far away from Middlesbrough will you deliver a castle?

How far away you are will have a bearing on our day in terms of time and cost. As a general rule any booking beyond 8 miles from Middlesbrough town centre may incur a delivery charge.
